Transcend Paranormal: Dobbins House Tavern

Built in 1776, the Dobbins House Tavern stood for 87 years prior to President Lincoln delivering the Gettysburg Address. Home to Reverend Alexander Dobbin, the building housed not only space for Rev. Dobbin and his family of 10 children, but also a school.

In the mid-1800’s, the Dobbins House was used as a station on the Underground Railroad to hide runaway slaves on their journey North. The building later served as a hospital for both the Confederate and Union forces.
