This past weekend, Transcend Paranormal had the privilege of being the first team to investigate the Hanover Arts & Activities Center located in Ashland, Virginia. Built in 1850, this building was home to the First Baptist Church of Ashland. For 104 years, the building was utilized as a community church. The only exception is during the Civil War, when it served as a hospital. Many Confederate soldiers passed away in this building at that time, with rumor that blood still stains the original flooring – hidden from sight by a newer flooring placed above the original.

In 1969, the building was converted into a community center, serving Ashland and Hanover as the Hanover Arts and Activities Center. This Non-Profit focuses on the arts, education, and activities to engage the community. This location plays hosts to many weddings, theatrical performances, and even offers rental studio and meeting spaces for artists, musicians, and community groups. Check out their website for more information!

Our investigation of the building was very active! Preliminary review of our audio have found a number of EVP’s already, including some anomalous behavior recorded on our DVRs. We are very excited to be pairing up with the folks at this location, and even more excited to bring you along with us! That’s right – early next year, we will be hosting a public investigation of the Hanover Arts and Activities Center! Check back here later this year for dates, times, and to snag your tickets!
